Iranian Foreign Ministry will examine the issue of cooperation of former Minister of National Security of Azerbaijan Eldar Mahmudov from the Wahhabis. As the İRNA, about it at today’s press conference, said Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hussein Jabir Ansari.

One of those present at the press conference, Iranian journalists asked about the fact that some sources spread information about the exceptional role played by ex-minister Eldar Mahmudov in armed Wahhabis in the Caucasus and its close cooperation in this area with Israel and Saudi Arabia. The journalist asked whether it is not contrary to the national interests of Iran.

“This will be examined, and if the facts are revealed, we will inform about it to journalists,” – said in response to the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
