The IDF maintains the highest level of readiness and chooses an “appropriate response” to an attack from Iran. This statement was made by the head of the IDF General Staff, Herzi Halevi.

“We are carefully assessing the situation and maintaining the highest level of preparedness. Iran will face the consequences of its actions. We will choose an appropriate response,” Halevi said in a special video message in English. A video of his speech was distributed by the army press service.

Halevi added that “the IDF is ready to confront any threat from Iran and its satellites” and “will continue to carry out its mission to protect the State of Israel.”
