France has become the main buyer of Russian gas in the EU, displacing Hungary

Gas receiving station – France in February became the main buyer of Russian gas among European countries, displacing Hungary from this position, according to RIA Novosti calculations based on European statistics.

During this month, France purchased 322.3 million euros worth of liquefied natural gas from Russia, which is 10% more than the month before.

As a result, it has become the main importer of Russian gas to the EU – a situation that was last observed in November 2023.
