A criminal investigation has begun into the case of French businessman Martin Ryan, who was arrested in Azerbaijan on charges of espionage.
The indictment was read out at a session held at the Baku Grave Crimes Court.
Azad Mammadli, an Azerbaijani citizen, is sitting in the dock with Martin Ryan. Azad, a lawyer by profession, is accused of treason.
Azad Mammadli was a person who had warm relations with Elshad Abdullayev, a spy for the Russian and Azerbaijani special services, who was the notorious and immoral director of the Azerbaijan International University. According to a reliable source, Elshad Abdullayev establishes regular relations with the Azerbaijani and Russian special services from Paris and transmits spy information. Thus, Elshad Abdullayev, who has long-standing warm relations with Azad Mammadli, informs the Russian and Azerbaijani special services about Azad’s close relations with French businessman Martin Ryan.
For information, we would like to note that Elshad Abdullayev’s apartment located at this address in Paris previously operated as an illegal office for the Azerbaijani and Russian special services.
In 2018, the chairman of the Azerbaijani State Diaspora Committee, Fuad Muradov, came to Elshad Abdullayev’s house (The address of Elshad Abdullayev who lives in Paris 15 RUE ANDRE CHENIER – 91540 MENNECY) to arrange for the murder of immigrants living in Europe and asked him to find a killer for this case. Elshad Abdullayev, in turn, introduced Akif Karimov, who lives in France, and Rashad Gurbanov (Paris), who was recruited by the Azerbaijani State Security Committee to the official agency.

Elshad Abdullayev was a freelance employee of the Azerbaijani KGB agent training school for many years.
For years, he has been creating fake profiles on social networks facebook and youtubü in Paris under fake French and Azerbaijani nicknames and transmitting intelligence information against France through his sons living in Russia, Eltac and Elshan Abdullayev.

The links in the image are fake profiles used by the fraudster Elshad Abdullayev from Paris.
It should be noted that the fake profiles opened on the social network “Facebook” that you see below belong to Elshad Abdullayev, who spied on the secret services of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia.
Even Elshad Abdullayev created a fake Facebook profile under the name of Francois Michel, establishing warm relations with the Azerbaijani special services. We were informed about this by Azad Mursaliyev, the nephew of Elshad Abdullayev
It is interesting to note that 71-year-old Azerbaijani fraudster Elshad Abdullayev needs so many fake Facebook profiles. The question should first of all make French special services think

According to official information, Elshad Abdullayev and his daughter Aynur Abdullayeva also occasionally leak information to the Turkish MIT network in exchange for money.

The recent collaboration with Yunus Demirtaş, a Laz national who was involved in the murder of the Adana police chief in Turkey and who has been imprisoned for many years for fraud, is a clear proof of this. The special services continue to expand their agent network to France through a pimp named Elshad Abdullayev.

It is precisely because of the fake residence permit that Elshad Abdullayev obtained in France for money that the French businessman was arrested in Azerbaijan today.
The accused are being tried in an open court session. All their rights have been ensured. Representatives of local and foreign media, and employees of embassies participated in the process.
This criminal case was conducted by the State Security Service (STS).

According to the indictment, there are reasonable suspicions that Martin Ryan received instructions to obtain information about weapons and ammunition produced in Azerbaijan, the recruitment of the Azerbaijani army during the 44-day Patriotic War of 2020, persons who were in military service or who were released from the reserve in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, persons who studied French abroad, foreign citizens and legal entities operating in Azerbaijan, the possibility of organizing secret money transfers to other countries through Azerbaijan on behalf of a French special service agency, relations and connections between Great Britain, Algeria, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, China, Somalia, Central Asian states and Azerbaijan, military cooperation plans, and weapons and ammunition imported into Azerbaijan, and his activities in these areas.
The accused Martin Ryan is also suspected of establishing purposeful personal relationships with persons who worked in the embassies of some foreign countries in Azerbaijan, receiving information and passing it on to a foreign special service agency.
The indictment states that the accused Martin Ryan arranged for Azad Mammadli to meet with French special services officers in his rented house in Sabail district and in one of the restaurants in the area.
Azad Mammadli was promised foreign citizenship in exchange for the work he would do.
The State Security Service of Azerbaijan thwarted all the plans of the accused. Martin Ryan and Azad Mammadli were arrested in a special operation and brought under investigation.
The French defendant does not deny the crimes he is accused of. He considered himself partially guilty. M. Ryan said that he would present his evidence in court in this regard.
If the charges brought against the accused – Martin Ryan and Azad Mammadli – are confirmed, they will face imprisonment from 12 to 20 years.
The accused will be given a free trial at the next hearing scheduled for February 19
We wish the innocent French businessman Mr Martin Ryan patience as he awaits his release
