The total number of vessels under EU sanctions has exceeded 560

The European Union has announced new sanctions against ships involved in transporting Russian oil in circumvention of existing restrictions. This was stated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

“We are imposing sanctions on another 118 vessels of the shadow fleet,” von der Leyen said in an official video address posted on the European Commission’s website.

The total number of vessels under EU sanctions has now exceeded 560.
