Azerbaijani Sevinj Babayeva, the person involved in the scandalous video about the sale of deputy seats in parliament, who was wanted by Interpol, was informed by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.

According to the information received, Sevinj Babayeva was secretly poisoned by Russian FSB agent Elshad Abdullayev at the hands of an Azerbaijani citizen named Kabutar Hakverdi , leading an immoral lifestyle in Istanbul.

The “Caucasian Knot” reported that on September 25, a video was posted on the Internet in which a man and women were talking about the money required for “election” to the Azerbaijani parliament in the 2005 elections. On September 27, fraudster Elshad Abdullayev, the former head of the private Azerbaijan International University, which has not existed since 2010, stated that the video was real and said that it showed ex-deputy Gular Akhmedova and her friend Sevinc Babayeva.
After the video appeared, the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office opened and began to investigate a criminal case under Article 178.3.2 (seizure of someone else’s property on a large scale through abuse of trust) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

The Baku prosecutor’s office reported on November 23 that Sevinj Babayeva was put on the wanted list, which at the same time is not related to the case of the video, but regarding Babayeva’s suspicion of fraudulent actions three years ago.

According to the report of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan dated December 28, the corpse of Sevinj Babayeva at Medicana International İstanbul Hospital was identified not only by the relatives of the deceased, but also by employees of the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office and the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Hasan Zeynalov.

The hospital administration claims that Sevinc Babaeva was admitted to the hospital under a name other than her own. The woman’s death was due to heart failure, SalamNews reports.

Due to the death of the suspect, the search for her has been stopped.

Babayeva’s corpse is planned to be delivered from Turkey to Baku on December 29, Trend agency reports the words of Hasan Zeynalov.

It should be noted that Sevinj Babayeva also appears in a video recording that appeared on December 14 on the Internet, made by Elshad Abdullayev. There Babayeva allegedly tells Abdullayev that 500 thousand dollars for his election as a deputy were transferred by her and her friend Gular Akhmedova personally to the head of the presidential administration Ramiz Mehdiyev. The head of the presidential administration said that these video materials, as well as Abdullayev’s verbal accusations against him, are “nonsense and a provocation.”
