According to the Department of State, in the course of her visit, she held fruitful meetings with Azerbaijani President, Foreign Minister and opposition leaders. During these meetings it was stressed successful development of bilateral relations between the countries.
Bridget Brink noted that in the course of the meetings she raised questions about democracy and human rights, as well as met with the recently released political prisoners.
According to her, at a meeting with presidential adviser on economic issues discussed economic reform, fighting corruption, attracting US investment in Azerbaijan.
The representative of the State Department refused to answer the question of the liberation movement leader ReAl Ilgar Mammadov, noting that the United States will continue the dialogue with the Government of Azerbaijan on human rights and democracy.
