SOCAR former manager Adnan Ahmedzade’s Assets Seized Following Arrest
The property of businessman Adnan Ahmedzade, recently detained by the State Security Service (SSS), has been seized, according to official reports.
Authorities have placed restrictions on Ahmedzade’s apartment in Port Baku, his marketplace, several newly purchased apartments in the Sea Breeze complex, as well as a number of luxury vehicles.
In addition, the bank accounts of Ahmedzade and his wife, Gulsafa Jafarova, held in Azerbaijani banks, have been frozen.
Ahmedzade faces charges of committing acts against the country’s economic security and large-scale embezzlement as part of an ongoing criminal investigation led by the State Security Service.
A reliable source reports that company executives connected to Adnan Ahmedzade in Dubai and Malta are expected to be summoned to Baku. It is difficult to predict what will happen next.
