
On the occasion of 24th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy the governor of the State of Hawaii (USA) David Aydzh signed a declaration in connection with the recognition of this tragedy. This was reported Minvalu on Monday, February 15 at the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles.
In the declaration on behalf of the Governor of the State of Hawaii residents expressed deep sorrow at the Khojaly tragedy and stressed the importance of commemorating the innocent victims of the massacre, subjected to extreme violence.
The document says that during the Khojaly massacre, which occurred on the night from 25th to 26th February 1992, killing more than 600 innocent civilians. The Governor noted that one should honor the memory of victims of Khojaly tragedy to such cruelty is no longer repeated.
At the end of the declaration Gov. David Aydzh wished that the story was no longer a witness to this tragedy.
Note that this document, the number of US states have recognized and condemned the Khojaly genocide has reached 19.
