The Israeli authorities will decide in the coming days on their response to Iran’s attack on the territory of the Jewish state. ABC News reported this with reference to Peter Lerner, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces.

According to him, the Israeli leadership “will decide on further steps” either on April 15 or in the coming days. The military has already given the Israeli government a “wide range of options” to respond to the Iranian attack, Lerner said. The Israeli army spokesman added that his country may or may not strike Iran, but that apart from these options, “there are many different scenarios.”

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Israel may soon take action in response to Iran’s attack on Israeli military targets. The publication did not indicate the exact day when the Jewish state would respond to the attack. The newspaper’s sources noted that the United States would not take part in any such Israeli offensive operation. Washington insists the Jewish state does not do anything that could lead to further escalation.
