Indian refiner Nayara Energy, in which Russia’s Rosneft has a stake, has exported its first shipment of gasoline since the European Union imposed sanctions on it on July 18, according to four shipping sources and LSEG data.
The tanker Tempest Dream, carrying about 43,000 metric tons (363,350 barrels) of gasoline, set sail on Monday, the sources said and LSEG data showed.
The vessel, which Britain sanctioned in June, is bound for the Omani port of Sohar, shipping data showed, but details of the buyer could not be verified.
Nayara Energy did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
The second vessel, the Sard, is currently at the refinery’s western Indian port of Vadinar and is due to load about 43,000 tonnes of diesel, according to two sources and LSEG shipping data.
