The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and its subsidiary SOCAR Trading bought the assets of the private company Italiana Petroli for 3 billion euros, including two oil refineries, 4,500 petrol stations throughout Italy, oil depots and a logistics structure.
The details of the deal will be disclosed during intergovernmental negotiations in the very near future,” the source said.
SOCAR Trading has committed to supplying both Italiana Petroli refineries with a total of 10 million tons of oil per year, as well as addressing the employment of more than 16,000 company staff and ensuring that all facilities comply with environmental standards.
