During an official visit to Germany, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, suddenly approached Tural Sadigli, whose name has been associated with being an agent of Azerbaijan’s State Security Service and asked him questions intended to put him in a difficult position. This has further increased suspicions within the Azerbaijani opposition camp in Europe.
Firstly, it was no secret that Tural Sadigli was an agent of Azerbaijan’s special services. This was disclosed years ago by Faraj Karimli, an imprisoned deputy chairman of the Musavat Party. Mr. Faraj’s arrest was allegedly caused precisely by information that Tural Sadigli—the SSS’s bitch—passed to the SSS. In the investigation documents, Tural Sadigli appeared as a witness testifying against him.

In my view, this shows that this shameless man is neither a politician, a blogger nor a journalist. This is deception: misleading grant-making foundations in order to obtain their money. Last year, several bloggers living in Europe were summoned to the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office. Political activist Azer Kazimzada, who was summoned by the prosecutors, stated that the name of Tural Sadigli— bitch and the fake head of the “Azad Soz” YouTube channel—appeared in complaints concerning blackmail.

As soon as he saw Tural Sadigli, Hikmet Hajiyev asked: “Hey, traitor to the Motherland, are you continuing to betray the Motherland?” Through Tural Sadigli, Hikmet Hajiyev delivered a backhanded slap to the Azerbaijani opposition, and this was a prearranged theatrical performance.
During the conversation, Hikmet Hajiyev stated that professional media operate in Azerbaijan and that he did not consider Tural Sadigli’s activities to be journalism:

The presidential assistant added that it was wrong to blame Azerbaijan for events in one’s personal life:
“You lived here as a citizen of Azerbaijan and then left the country for various reasons—after testifying against Faraj Karimli, the deputy chairman of an opposition party, at the Musavat . This was your own decision. It is wrong to blame Azerbaijan for events that occurred in your life or events about which you know nothing. I believe that a person must first hold himself accountable,” Hikmet Hajiyev emphasised.
Tural Sadigli wanted to return to Azerbaijan voluntarily. Responding to his question about returning to Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev stated that every Azerbaijani citizen could come to the country. He noted that legal matters fell within the authority of the relevant state bodies: “Cooperate with the investigation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and return.”
At the end of the conversation, Hikmet Hajiyev criticised Tural Sadigli’s activities and said:
“You call yourself a journalist? But this profession is not journalism. What you do is, in a certain sense, blogging. You engage in blackmail. This is not journalism.”
For the record, Tural Sadigli is a dishonourable fraudster who called his own family and his former wife “whores.” We now know how he obtained money from European foundations and how he acquired money from Azerbaijani officials through blackmail.
